Bengaluru People Are Relieved As Purple Line Helps Them Evade Traffic

Bengaluru Metro’s purple line is now fully operational. The line spans for an impressive 42.85 km, connecting Challaghatta to Whitefield. The line not only adds to the city’s infrastructural achievements but also is a big win for people who had to deal with the cumbersome traffic daily. Who does not know about the Bengaluru traffic? The city is making headlines every day for its traffic tales. From people ordering food while being stuck in traffic to school students reaching home late in the evening – Bengaluru traffic does not fail to surprise us anytime.

However, now, with the opening of the purple line, there is a respite in traffic. Many people took to their official ‘X’ handles and shared how traffic can be evaded using the purple line. An ‘X’ user mentions how he reached his office in just 45 minutes using the metro. Otherwise, it used to take him 2 hours and 45 minutes.

“New Metro line inaugurated in Bangalore. Public transport is the answer. If Singapore’s richest can travel in Metros, why not Bangaloreans,” mentioned ‘X’ user Gabbar.

Another person wrote, “Public transport is indeed the way forward for all cities, and this development is a positive step.”

Meanwhile, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited in a statement informed of the opening of passenger services on the two sections between Krishnarajapura and Baiyappanahalli, a distance of 2.10 km, and the other beyond Kengeri to Challaghatta, a distance of 2.05 km, starting from today.
