Bigg Boss 17: Rinku Dhawan Slams Samarth Jurel For Slapping Abhishek Kumar
Former contestant Rinku Dhawan said that it was morally incorrect of Isha Malviya to dig out her former partner Abhishek Kumar’s past.

Since its inception on October 15, Bigg Boss 17 has been a rollercoaster ride. Hosted by Salman Khan, viewers of the reality show have so far witnessed umpteen verbal quarrels and physical fights. The latest incident that has sparked debate amongst the masses was the heated brawl between Abhishek Kumar and Samarth Jurel-Isha Malviya. The couple had been bullying Abhishek on his mental health issues. Infuriated, Abhishek slapped Samarth, leaving the participants shocked. Although the actor’s misconduct led to his eviction, former BB House contestants and the general public have supported Abhishek’s reaction. The latest to have backed Abhishek is former Bigg Boss 17 contestant Rinku Dhawan.

In an interview with Instant Bollywood, when the host asked Rinku Dhawan to share her take on Abhishek Kumar smacking Samarth Jurel, the television actress gave a befitting reply. She said that according to her, Abhishek should have hit Samarth a couple of times more. Explaining why she felt the same, Rinku added that Samarth and Isha were deliberately “picking on Abhishek’s mental health” which was already a thing of the past. She also indirectly indicated Isha’s past relationship with Abhishek during the conversation.

Taking a dig at Isha Malviya, Rinku Dhawan continued that it was morally incorrect of her to dig out her former partner Abhishek Kumar’s past by using his mental health as an excuse. The English translation of what Rinku shared in Hindi was, “Abhishek was dealing with trauma, suffering from depression, and going through mental health problems. He was seeing a psychiatrist, seeking help for that, and today, you (Isha) being his ex-girlfriend bringing all that up.”

Rinku Dhawan was not the first person who stood beside Abhishek Kumar. Earlier, former Bigg Boss 16 contestant Jigna Vora also talked about Samarth Jurel and Isha Malviya’s inappropriate behaviour towards Abhishek. In an interaction with TOI, she highlighted the importance of mental health. According to her, an individual’s well-being mattered more than just lifting the trophy. She vehemently opposed the idea of “stooping so low” for the sake of being at the top of one’s game. Jigne Vora said, “Mental health is crucial, and one shouldn’t stoop so low for a trophy that it harms someone’s well-being. In my opinion, contestants shouldn’t jeopardize someone’s life for the sake of winning.”

Although Bigg Boss 17 contestant Ankita Lokhande evicted Abhishek Kumar, Salman Khan brought him back on the show.
