In a move to expand the product lineup, the leading car manufacturer Kia is all set to drop another vehicle Soon. Ahead of the official launch, which is scheduled for later this year, the vehicle has been spied on during the testing phase in South Korea, revealing some of the design elements and overall structure.
It has been reported that the company has listed the product under the internal codename AY. However, there is a high possibility that the brand might introduce the four-wheeler under the above-mentioned name. If launched, it will be positioned between the newly launched Sonet and Seltos models, featuring some advanced level of features and safety ratings.
Kia Clavis SUV Design
As per the leaked images, the car looks quite boxy, flaunting decent size bonnet, and automatic ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. The vehicle is likely to make its official appearance in the Indian market with the bold avatar, keeping itself different from other lineups including Sonet and Seltos. The striking design, rugged body, and appealing design (seems like), are expected to target a large audience, putting the company in a more profitable margin this year.
Powertrain
Talking about the powertrain, there is a high chance that the SUV will be offered in both an ICE model and a battery-powered unit. For the fuel models, it is likely to come with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which will generate a max power of 118 bhp and 172 Nm of peak torque.
Transmission
The unit will be equipped with either a 6-speed Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) or a 7-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT). However, the company did not reveal any spec details as yet. It is expected that it might share the related information in the upcoming days.
