Tata Motors today announced the launch of the new XTA variant of its hatchback – the Tata Tiago, at a starting price of Rs 5.99 Lakhs (Ex Showroom Delhi). With this launch, the brand has 4 AMT options, adding an AMT variant to the XT trim of the existing Tata Tiago. The other variants includes XZA, XZA+ and XZA+ Dual Tone, priced at Rs 6.47 Lakh, Rs 6.75 Lakh and Rs 6.85 Lakh respectively (all prices ex-showroom). Apart from AMT variants, there are 6 manual transmission options one can opt for in the new Tiago.
Since its launch in 2016, the Tiago has been one of the most successful products for the indigenous automaker and also in its segment. Following the same, Tata launched BS6 version of the Tiago in 2020 which also received a 4-star safety rating by GNCAP, making it the safest in its segment.
It comes with a variety of new features such as the 7-inch Infotainment Touchscreen by Harman, 15-inch Alloy Wheels, Automatic Climate Control and a Digital Instrument Custer amongst others. Till now Tata has sold over 3 Lakh Tiagos in India.
Commenting on the introduction of this new variant, Mr. Vivek Srivatsa, Head Marketing, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit (PVBU), Tata Motors said, “Fulfilling our brand promise of staying New Forever, we are constantly listening and gathering feedback from the market. The Tiago has received tremendous market response from across regions. Furthermore, the automatic transmission (AT) segment in India is booming and the same has been proven in the sales of Tiago as well.
