Bengaluru auto driver scammed a Bangladeshi vlogger and his girlfriend. Here is what exactly happened.

A Bengaluru auto driver was caught cheating a Bangladeshi vlogger and his girlfriend during a trip to the magnificent Bengaluru Palace. The incident caught police’s attention after a video blogger from Kolkata shared the video on social media platform ‘X’. He tagged the Bengaluru Police in the post, urging them to take an action. “Bangladeshi blogger and his girlfriend were traveling – “Bengaluru Palace”. A local auto driver cheated them. This is how we treat foreigners? Please take action,” Kolkata vlogger wrote.

In the video, the Bangladeshi vlogger, who goes by the name MD Fizz said that he and his girlfriend decided to take an auto to go sightseeing. When they spoke to the auto driver, he agreed to charge by the meter. On reaching the destination, the fare was Rs 320. Fizz pulled out a Rs 500 note from his wallet and handed it to the auto driver.

However, while speaking to them, the driver managed to slip the note into his sleeves and showed a Rs 100 note. He basically pretended that this is what he is being given.

Perplexed by it, the vlogger gave him another Rs 500 note.

Fizz realised that he had been scammed when he began to edit the video. The video has sparked anger on social media. There has been an outpouring of sympathy for the vlogger.

In the video, the Bangladeshi vlogger said that he regretted not opting for an app-based aggregator “If I had opted for that, I would also have had his vehicle number to lodge a complaint,” he said.

However, as the video went viral, Bangalore Police caught the auto driver and shared an update on X. “The auto driver has been handed over to Sadashivnagar law and order police station for further action,” the police department said.
