The Gujarat Giants are currently preparing to take on the Delhi Capitals in the 10th game of the Women’s Premier League 2024. Gujarat have begun their campaign in poor form, recording three consecutive losses. They lost their previous game against the UP Warriorz by six wickets. The match began with the Giants losing the toss and batting first. Phoebe Litchfield and Ashleigh Gardner put up the best batting performance for the Giants with 35 and 30 runs respectively. They were kept humble at a total of 142 in the first innings. The Giants were unable to make much impact during their bowling performance as well. Representing the Warriorz, Grace Harris smashed a solid 60 runs in 33 balls to secure the win for her side. They will now be looking to pick up their first victory of the season against the Capitals.
The women’s T20 game between Gujarat Giants and Delhi Capitals will be played on February 27 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Delhi Capitals are currently leading the Women’s Premier League 2024 with four points and a positive net run rate of 1.271. Delhi have beaten teams including the UP Warriorz and Royal Challengers Bangalore so far. Their only defeat came in their opening game of the campaign against Mumbai Indians. Delhi will now be eager to bag their third win of the campaign against Gujarat Giants.
