Residents of Amrapali Golf Homes and Kingswood societies in Greater Noida have voiced significant complaints against the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) and VCL, alleging serious lapses in construction and security within the residential complex. Homebuyers reported a host of unresolved issues, including incomplete construction, malfunctioning lifts, and inadequate security measures, raising concerns about their safety and quality of life.
According to the affected homeowners, several essential tasks remained unfinished throughout the society. Key amenities, including multiple lifts, were reported to be out of order, and despite being under NBCC’s responsibility, the necessary repairs had not been addressed. In addition, residents claimed that internet service providers were being blocked from installing connections, further complicating their living conditions.
Residents are particularly frustrated with the state of the diesel generator (DG) systems, which have not been tested and are largely inoperative. The lack of reliable power backup is a significant concern, as many areas of the society remain without operational generator services. Homebuyers alleged that both NBCC and VCL have been unresponsive to their requests, leading to feelings of harassment regarding these ongoing issues.
The lack of a complete boundary wall also raised alarms about security. Residents asserted that anyone could enter the community without restriction, leaving them vulnerable to potential threats.
Many homeowners suspect a collusion between NBCC and VCL, claiming that the delay in completing outstanding work – estimated to be worth between Rs 20 to Rs 25 crore – was intentional. They accused NBCC of supporting VCL in the alleged negligence, further deepening their dissatisfaction.
Moreover, the homebuyers expressed concerns that NBCC was fostering division among residents by pitting them against their Residents’ Association (AOA). They contended that misleading information was being circulated to shift blame for the incomplete work onto the homebuyers and their representatives.
In light of these grievances, the affected residents urged the court receiver to take immediate action against NBCC and VCL. They demanded that both organisations be compelled to complete the pending construction work promptly and address the various issues affecting their community.
