The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday, March 7, approved the continuation of Rs 300 targeted subsidy to PM Ujjwala Yojana Consumers for 2024-25 by one year till March 2025, said Union Minister Piyush Goyal while briefing media about the Cabinet decisions today.

A total of 10.27 PMUY beneficiaries will get subsidies on 12 cylinders per year directly in their accounts. The total expenditure for 2024-25 will be Rs 12,000 crore.
