A sight to behold and cherish for Indian cricket fans, as the latest snaps from the BCCI showcase talisman batter Virat Kohli in training with new India coach Gautam Gambhir, as the Men in Blue prepare to take on Sri Lanka in a handful of ODIs.
Kohli, who recently announced retirement from the T20 International format, is part of India’s ODI squad against Sri Lanka and shall be working closely with Gambhir to keep the Men in Blue’s momentum going following a whitewash T20I series against the hosts.

The sight of the RCB batter and the ex-KKR mentor sent shockwaves across the internet as the two fiery personalities have finally come together again as a part of the same squad.
So, much so that even IPL side Rajasthan Royals have taken to it, posting about the duo’s meetup, referencing the hilarious ‘Cheen Tapak Dum Dum’ trend that has taken the internet over.

The on-field flare-ups between Gambhir and Virat Kohli are well-documented but the two seemed to have moved on from their past rivalry.
This past IPL season, the duo was seen hugging each other after a match between KKR and Royal Challengers Bengaluru and a clip of them having a lively chat went viral on social media.
But, with all the noise surrounding them, Gambhir, after taking up the new head coach role, declared that his relationship with the mainstay batter “is between the two of us and not for TRPs”.
“My relationship with Virat Kohli is between the two of us and not for TRP,” Gambhir said during his first press conference after becoming the Team India head coach.
Well, both personalities shall look on to build on India’s wave of wins currently, and carry it forward into the incoming ODI series against the hosts.
Team India was spotless in the series despite losing out on some of their star players such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja who retired after the T20 World Cup.
They are now all set to face Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series scheduled to start on August 2.
