The Duleep Trophy 2024 is certainly proving to be a competitive affair with tensions on the up as the India D left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh got the wicket of his fellow international teammate Riyan Parag of India A on Day 1 at Anantapur on Thursday.
Arshdeep who was India’s leading wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup 2024, looked to showcase his mettle with the red ball. And he sure did show his skill as he forced Parag to play at the delivery which was just outside the off-stump line. The delivery got the nick and was taken by the India D skipper, Shreyas Iyer who was stood at the first-slip position.
India D are on a roll on the opening day as they managed to pick up four wickets within the first 20 overs of the game. The Karnataka-based pacer Vidwath Kaverappa began the show by picking up the big wicket of Mayank Agarwal the skipper of the A-team. This was followed by the wicket of the other opening batter, Pratham Singh.
