The India Women's Cricket team members were spotted at the Tirupati Balaji temple to visit and offer their prayers.

Indian women’s team skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and her teammates were spotted offering prayers at the holy Tirupati Balaji Temple today. The India captain was joined by players like Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma, Pooja Vastrakar and Renuka Singh. In a social media post, Shafali, Harmanpreet, Pooja and Renuka can be seen making their way towards the temple entrance before stopping for a picture near the gate. Minutes later Deepti was seen moving towards the main temple. She also stopped to chat with some people around her. A video of the Indian cricketers’ spiritual outing was shared on X (formerly Twitter).

The cricketers were all dressed in traditional Indian threads. Harmanpreet Kaur, Renuka Singh and Shafali Verma were clothed in Salwar Suits. The cricketers could be seen having a great time as they were all smiles during the spiritual trip.

Coming back to on-field developments, Shafali Verma recently broke the record for the highest opening partnership in women’s Tests. She combined with Smriti Mandhana to surpass the previous record of 241 by scoring 292 runs against South Africa. Shafali was particularly impressive, finishing the match with 205 runs facing 197 balls. The Indian opener smashed 23 boundaries and eight sixes in the first innings of the match.
