India batter KL Rahul returned to training after missing out on the second Test match against England. Rahul, who played as a specialist batter in Hyderabad, missed out in Vizag after complaining of a right quadriceps pain.
He has been recalled in the squad for the last three Test but his availability is subject to fitness.
Meanwhile, a video of Rahul batting in the nets has grabbed fans’ attention on social media. The flamboyant batter himself shared a video on his Instagram story where he can be seen playing a lovely cover drive in the nets.

The 31-year-old has been in good touch with the bat in recent times.. He scored a brilliant century in the South Africa tour and then went on to score 86 runs in the first innings of the Hyderabad Test.
However, despite the unavailability of the senior batter, India went on to win the second Test at Visakhapatnam and level the series 1-1.
In the absence of Virat Kohli, who remains unavailable for last three Tests, the onus will be on KL Rahul in the middle order which looks a bit inexperienced at the moment.
Rahul also has a decent record playing at home. In the 17 games he has played, the batter has scored a total of 1031 runs at an average of 41.24. This includes 1 century and 9 fifties and a top-score of 199.
However, the concern is that his availability along with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will be confirmed after getting the green light from the medical team to play. India would require Rahul’s services with the bat in the remaining matches to extend their winning streak at home in the red-ball format.
India dropped Shreyas Iyer from the squad after his underwhelming show in the second Test which makes KL Rahul’s role with the bat more crucial in the middle order.
