The LBS Centre for Science and Technology is now accepting applications for the Kerala State Eligibility Test (KSET), which will be administered in January 2025. Applicants who fulfil the qualifications can register for the official website, lbsedp.lbscentre.in, for Kerala SET January 2025.
As per the official announcement, the application deadline for the exam is October 20, at midnight. The deadline for payments is October 22. The correction window will open on October 23 at 11 a.m. and will end on October 25.

Kerala SET 2025 Application Fee
Applicants must register for the state eligibility test by paying an application fee of Rs 1,000 if they fall under the general (Gen) or other backward class (OBC) category. Candidates from scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and persons with disability (PwD) must pay a fee of Rs 500 to register for the Kerala SET January 2025. The deadline for payments is October 22.
Kerala SET 2025: How To Apply?
Step 1. Go to lbsedp.lbscentre.in, the KSET official website.
Step 2. On the main page, select the Kerala SET January 2025 registration link.
Step 3. After filling out the registration form, click “Submit.”
Step 4. After that, sign into the account.
Step 5. Complete the application and send in the required application fee.
Step 6. Press the submit button to download the page.
Step 7. Save a hard copy of it in case you need it later.
Kerala SET 2025: Eligibility Criteria
In addition to a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in any discipline from a Kerala university or an equivalent qualification from any accredited university, applicants must have a master’s degree in relevant disciplines with at least 50% or an equivalent grade.
Candidates may apply if they hold a Master of Science in Education (MSc.Ed.) degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, or Zoology from any Regional Institute of Education that is supported by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and have earned at least 50% of the possible points or an equivalent grade.

Candidates may take the SET exam in English if they have a BEd and an II class master’s degree in communicative English with at least 50% of the possible points or an equivalent grade.
Applicants who obtained their degrees through open colleges or correspondence courses that were not approved by any Keralan university are not allowed to appear for the KSET in January 2025.
Candidates with a BEd or a postgraduate degree in their first year are not allowed to apply for the Kerala SET in January 2025.
Kerala SET 2024: Exam Pattern
The Kerala SET will consist of two papers. Paper I, Part (A), shared by all candidates, is separated into two sections: (Part A) General Knowledge and (Part B) Teaching Aptitude. Paper II centres on the postgraduate (PG) area of expertise of the candidate. There will be 31 themes in Paper II. Each exam will last 120 minutes in total.
