The revised test date for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduate Courses (NEET PG) 2024 will be announced later this week. The official release dates have not yet been announced, however, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is expected to release them in the coming week at natboard.edu.in, reported Indian Express. Less than 12 hours before the test was supposed to take place on June 22, the NBEMS postponed the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Postgraduate (NEET PG). The exam could now take place sometime in August.
According to the Indian Express, NBE sources have discussed a strategy with the Centre and are seeking permission. When administering a test as significant as the NEET PG, logistics must be carefully considered. “We cannot announce the exam dates without first discussing and getting a green signal from TCS, our logistics partner, and the government”, the source was quoted by Indian Express.

The scheduled date of this year’s NEET PG test has undergone several revisions. The test was scheduled to take place on March 3, however it was later delayed. However, due to the Rath Yatra event, the National Medical Commission (NMC) rescheduled the exam to June 23, which was also cancelled.
NEET PG is a nationwide test for admission to MD (Doctor of Medicine), MS (Master of Surgery), and PG Diploma courses in medical institutions throughout India. The test will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions with a total score of 800. Each correct response will earn a candidate four points, while each erroneous response will result in a one-mark reduction. NEET-PG streamlines the admission process for postgraduate medical courses by serving as a single admissions examination window.
