NEET UG 2024 Paper Leak Reports Baseless, Photos On Social Media Misleading, Says NTA
Several reports claimed that the question paper of the NEET UG 2024 had leaked online, however, according to NTA, these reports are "completely baseless and without any ground"

Purported images of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate or NEET UG 2024 question paper circulating on social media have no relation with the actual paper, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has said. Several reports claimed that the question paper of the medical entrance exam had leaked online, however, according to NTA, these reports are “completely baseless and without any ground.”

“All other photographs of question papers circulating in social media have no relation to the actual examination question paper which has been administered,” said Sadhana Parashar, Senior Director, NTA. Parashar further said that no external person or agency can access the exam centres after the gates are closed and the exam begins. The centres are also under CCTV surveillance, she added.

“It has been ascertained from NTA’s security protocols and Standard Operating Procedures that the social media posts pointing towards any paper leak are completely baseless and without any ground. To put rumours to rest, it is also stated that every single question paper has been accounted for,” Parashar said.

This announcement comes after NTA recently said that at one of the examination centre in Rajasthan, Girls Higher Secondary Model School, Mandir, Mantown, Sawai Madhopur, incorrect question papers were distributed by the Center Superintendent. “Despite efforts by invigilators to prevent it, some candidates left the examination center with question papers,” the agency had said.

The NTA further assured that apart from this incident, the NEET UG 2024 was conducted smoothly across the country. “The NTA emphasizes that this incident has not compromised the integrity of the examination process at other centers. In order to uphold the principles of fairness and equal opportunity for all candidates, the NTA has taken proactive measures,” the official notice added. The examination of approximately 120 affected candidates was conducted again. NEET UG 2024 took place on May 5 for about 24 lakh candidates.
