The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has announced the first term holiday dates for the junior colleges in the state. As per the official announcement, all schools and educational institutions including government, private aided, private unaided, cooperative and welfare colleges offering the two-year intermediate programme will be closed from October 6 to October 13. The decision has been taken so that students along with teachers can enjoy a festive break.
The official notification reads, “The Principals of all Government/Private Aided/Private Un-Aided/Co-Operative/ TG Residential/TG Social Welfare Residential/TG Tribal Welfare Residential/TG Model Schools/TG BC Welfare/TMRJC/KGBV/Incentive Junior Colleges and Composite Degree Colleges offering a two-year intermediate programme are informed that the first term holidays for junior colleges have been declared from 06-10-2024 to 13-10-2024 (including both days) and will be reopened on 14-10-2024.”
To ensure regulation, all District Intermediate Education Officers (DIEOs) have been instructed to monitor adherence to the holiday schedule by college management. TSBIE has asked the college’s management to ensure that holiday notices are sent throughout the respective districts.
Meanwhile, the Telangana board has also recently extended the first-year intermediate admission deadline to October 15. Earlier, the last date to apply for the intermediate programmes was September 15 through the official websites, acadtgbie.cgg.gov.in or tgbie.cgg.gov.in.

Step 1: Head to the official website at acadtgbie.cgg.gov.in or tgbie.cgg.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the TS Intermediate First Year Admission Link.
Step 3: Select the district where you want to take the admission.
Step 4: The junior college list will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Choose your choice of college as per your preference.
Step 6: Complete the admission procedure as instructed on the website.
Step 7: Upload the necessary documents, if any.
Step 8: Save and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
According to the official notice, admissions to government and government sector junior colleges can be completed without incurring late fees. However, those registering to private junior colleges will have to pay Rs 500 as a late fine.
