TV actor Devoleena Bhattacharjee is expecting her first child with her husband Shanawaz Shaikh, News18 Showsha has exclusively learnt. A source close to the actress has revealed that the rumours of Devoleena expecting a baby soon are true and that she is in her initial days of pregnancy. However, the actress does not plan to reveal it anytime soon due to personal reasons.
“She is [pregnant] but she does not want to announce it as of now. Devoleena likes to keep her personal matters away from the limelight and therefore she does not want to give any media attention to her pregnancy as of now. But surely, she will announce the good news whenever she feels the time is right,” a source close to the actress told us.
Reports of Devoleena’s pregnancy made headlines last month when netizens spotted her alleged baby bump in some of her social media pictures. However, when News18 Showsha spoke to the actress regarding the rumours, she neither confirmed nor denied her pregnancy.
“I get irritated when I get messages or calls asking about rumours. If it is my personal life, I’ll tell you whenever I feel like it. Don’t bother me or don’t worry about it. Everything has the right time. There are so many rumours about me which I laugh at. I was shocked. There’s nothing one can do about it,” she told us.
Devoleena, who is currently seen in Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, tied the knot with beau Shanawaz Shaikh in December 2022. It was a court wedding in Lonavala with only close friends in attendance. However, she faced immense backlash after her wedding when trolls questioned her decision of inter-faith marriage. However, the actress has always given a befitting reply to trolls.
On the work front, Devoleena Bhattacharjee is a popular name in the television industry and is known for shows like Saath Nibhaana Saathiya and Dil Diyaan Gallaan. She also participated in Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 14 which Rubina Dilaik won.
