Following speculations of Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding reception, News18 Showsha had exclusively reported that it would be a star-studded affair. Celebrities like Aayush Sharma, Huma Qureshi, Varun Sharma, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah Badussha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal Mehta and others are expected to grace their big day at Bastian in Mumbai’s Dadar. Reportedly, a registered marriage is taking place today with the couple already having hosted an indoor party for friends and family on June 20. A mehendi ceremony took place on June 21.
And now, we’ve exclusively learned the names of more Bollywood stars who will be a part of the party at the high-end restaurant that’s slated to take place tonight. A reliable source tells us, “Sonakshi shares a good camaraderie with most of her peers in the industry. Needless to say, the reception will see some of the most popular names including two popular Bollywood couples – Riteish Deshmukh (who’s Sonakshi’s co-star in the upcoming film Kakuda), Genelia Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, and Rakul Preet Singh.”
The source further adds, “Additionally, screenwriter and author Mushtaq Sheikh and Panchayat fame actor Asif Khan are also confirmed guests at the party. Salman Khan who has been Sonakshi and Zaheer’s mentor may also make it. However, there’s no clarity on the same yet.” And now, wait for the clincher! Another little birdie tells us that Diljit Dosanjh who’s making heads turn globally may also make his presence felt at Bastian.
This source says, “Diljit is currently in Mumbai. He has been in the city since the last week for meetings and other commitments. The singer-actor and Sonakshi had shared screen space in the 2018 comedy film Welcome To New York and struck a rapport. In 2017, they also collaborated on a song titled Move Your Lakk for the film Noor. With him being in the bay, there are strong chances that he too might make it.”
On a related note, Sonakshi and Zaheer’s union has been making news of an alleged conflict between her and her family. However, all of that has been put to rest now as Shatrughan Sinha told Times Now recently, “No one from my family said anything about a wedding. Too much attention is being given to something that is a private family matter. Shaadiyan sab ke ghar hoti hain. Pre-wedding conflicts are also common. We are all okay now. Whatever stress there was has been sorted out.”
