Manchester: Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero insists his team will fight English Premier League leaders Manchester United to win the title. Despite leading their neighbours at one stage by seven points, City find themselves three point behind United in the race to win the EPL.
"I can promise you that we'll be fighting until the very end. We all want to make it and though it won't be easy, we believe we can win the Premier League this season. Winning titles is about never giving up and we will never give up. I want to win it this season and then many more with City after that", Aguero said in an interview to the Daily Mail.
Aguero - who has bagged 24 goals in all competitions in his first season with the English club - also quashed rumours linking him with Spanish giants Real Madrid.
"None of the stories about Real Madrid have come from me and City fans can rest assured I am happy here," he said. "From the moment I arrived, everyone has treated me really well. It's down to me to repay that kindness and good feeling I've had from everyone with some performances out on the field."
The blue half of Manchester will be very pleased that the star striker - who has a good chance of a PFA award - has rubbished rumours so quickly, at a crucial stage of the season.
