'Il Capitano' will fulfill a dream of coaching young children.

New Delhi: Roma’s Francesco Totti has recently been involved in the launch of a new campaign promoting the project of ‘Football Adopting Abandoned Children’, which came about in collaboration with the ‘Friends of Children’ and the ‘Association of Italian players’.

His first task will be to take charge of a team of around 11 young Kenyans to play football in Nairobi, and to then coach them along the way.

In a recent interview, the Giallorossi star spoke about this initiative, and his thoughts of being apart of it.

"Obviously I couldn’t adopt them all, but to coach a team of kids and to help them, is a dream for everyone, and it certainly is for me," Totti affirmed in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.

The children are aged between nine and twelve, and they are all currently situated in Nairobi at the ‘Kwet Home of Peace’. Hopefully the presence of a prominent figure such as Totti can positively impact their young lives.
