Madrid: Spanish football club Valencia has exercised its contractual option to purchase striker Alvaro Negredo after he was loaned from Manchester City last season.
The Spanish striker has thus been permanently transferred, according to the English club's official website on Wednesday. City failed to disclose the final price tag, although the loan agreement set the purchase clause at 30 million euros ($33.2 million), reports Efe.
Negredo went to Valencia last summer from City, scoring 23 goals in 29 starts in the 2013-2014 season before injuring his shoulder in an English Premier League (EPL) match against West Ham United.
In Valencia's campaign last season, he capped 34 La Liga matches, 15 as a starter and four in the Copa del Rey, with a total of seven goals.
