Ryan Reynolds Reacts to Deadpool 3 Set Photo Leak With A Request

Deadpool 3 starring Ryan Reynolds has been keeping fans on their toes for quite some time now. Directed by Shawn Levy, the upcoming film is the third installment of the much-acclaimed Deadpool franchise. Put on hold due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, the shooting of Deadpool 3 has now resumed in full swing, with the action entertainer set to premiere on the big screens on July 26, 2024. Amidst this, leaked photos from Deadpool 3 sets have gone viral, with Marvel fans getting an inkling of what to expect from the film. Now, reacting to the pictures, Ryan Reynolds has come up with an earnest request, urging online platforms to refrain from revealing Deadpool 3’s images before the film’s release.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Ryan Reynolds in an elaborate write-up shared, “Surprises are part of the magic of theatrical movies. It’s important for us to shoot the new DEADPOOL film in real, natural environments, using practical effects as opposed to making the movie indoors and digitally. Telephoto lenses continue to spoil surprises and create a difficult situation for everyone.”

“Here’s hoping some of the websites and social channels hold back showing images before they’re ready,” he continued before adding that Deadpool 3 was being made to deliver maximum joy to the audience. Reynolds expressed that the makers hoped to “preserve” the magic of suspense till the film wrapped up and was ready for the big screen. Acknowledging why people felt the need to post spoilers, the Red Notice actor opined that it was because they were “excited”. “I realize these aren’t real-world issues and it’s firmly in the ‘good problems’ bucket. I love making this movie,” he concluded.

Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 co-star Hugh Jackman re-shared the story on his official Instagram handle but not without adding a hilarious twist to it. Cutting out the word Deadpool, Jackman wrote, “What he said but… it’s a new WOLVERINE movie.”

Recently, leaked pictures of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine fighting one of the primary villains of the film franchise — Sabretooth surfaced online. Jackman was seen holding Sabretooth’s tethered head, indicating that he might have won a battle. In another set of photos, eagle-eyed fans spotted Oscar Issac-starrer Moon Knight’s famous cupcake delivery van on the sets of Deadpool 3, making them curious about crossover possibilities.

Apart from Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, Deadpool 3 also stars Emma Corrin, Jennifer Garner, Morena Baccarin, Matthew Macfadyen, and Shioli Kutsuna among others.
