3 Ways to Find Your Phone Number on a Samsung Galaxy
If you don't know the phone number assigned to your Samsung Galaxy phone, it's easy to find. On most Galaxy models, you can find your phone number in both the Settings and the Contacts apps. If your phone number isn't showing up in Settings, there's an easy fix. This wikiHow article teaches how to find your own phone number on your Samsung Galaxy phone as well as how to add it using the Contacts app.

Using Settings

Open the Settings app on your Galaxy phone or tablet Android 7 Settings App. Tap the Settings app in your list of apps. It generally has an icon that resembles a gear. Alternatively, you can swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the gear in the upper-right corner.

Scroll down and tap About phone. This may say "About device." If your Settings menu has headings at the top, tap the More tab.

Find your phone number. Your phone number appears at the top of the page next to "Phone Number" or "My phone number." If you don't see it, tap Status or SIM status. If your number is showing as "Unknown" or is incorrect, see Fixing a Missing Phone Number to fix it. You can also find your phone number in your Contacts.

Using Contacts

Open the Contacts app. You'll find it in your Apps list. It has an icon with a person on it. Alternatively, you can open the Phone app and tap the Contacts tab at the bottom of the screen.

Tap your name. It's at the top of the page below your profile image if you have set one. You can also tap your profile image. If you are viewing your contacts through the Phone app, tap your name below the "Me" label at the top.

Scroll down and view your number. It's listed below "Mobile" near the bottom of the screen.

Fixing a Missing Phone Number

Open the Contacts app. It has an icon that resembles a person on it, and you'll find it in your Apps list. Use this method if you know your phone number, but it's not appearing in the "About phone" section of Settings. You can also open Contacts by tapping the Contacts tab in the Phone app.

Tap your name. It's at the top of the page below your profile image if you have set one. You can also tap your profile image. If you are viewing your contacts through the Phone app, tap your name below the "Me" label at the top.

Tap Edit Android 7 Edit. It's the middle tab at the bottom of the screen. It has an icon that resembles a pencil.

Scroll down and tap the green plus + button next to "Phone". It's the first option at the top of the section for personal information.

Enter your phone number and tap Save. Use the number pad at the bottom of the screen to enter your full phone number with country and area code. Then, tap SAVE at the top or bottom of the screen, depending on your Galaxy model. If your phone number is still not appearing or is incorrect in the Settings menu, make sure your SIM card is properly installed.
