Go to YouTube Studio.
Go to https://studio.youtube.com in a web browser. You can also open YouTube Studio by clicking your profile icon at the top-right corner of YouTube and selecting YouTube Studio.
Open the audio library.
Click the Audio library tab in the left panel. You'll see it toward the bottom of the menu. This displays a list of music you can use for free in your videos.
Find music and sound effects.
The library is separated into two sections—music and sound effects. Use the tabs at the top of the library to move between sections, and scroll down to see all of the options in each. Click Music to display entire songs you can play in your videos, or Sound effects for a variety of sounds that can make certain moments in your video pop. If you'd like, you can also search for particular sounds and songs by typing keywords into the "Search or filter library" field at the top of the library. Click the filter icon at the top-left to view your filtering options. You can display results by genre, mood, time, and even display titles that contain certain words.
Click the play icon to hear a preview.
You can play samples of each song or sound before you commit to downloading. As you test out audio, click the star next to the tracks you like so you can find them later easily on the Starred tab.
Download the tracks you want to use.
Hover your mouse cursor over a track and click DOWNLOAD. The DOWNLOAD option only appears once you've hovered the cursor over the track. The selected track will download to your default download location.
