How to Edit Your Instagram Bio

Using the Mobile App

Launch the Instagram app on your phone or tablet. Look for a yellow and purple icon with a white camera outline on your home screen or in the app drawer.

Tap on Profile Android IG Profile. This is the profile icon in the bottom right.

Tap Edit Profile. This is near the top of the screen.

Tap on the text in the "Bio" section. This will open an editing screen.

Delete your existing bio. Tap on the delete key on your keyboard.

Type a new bio. Enter up to 150 characters.

Tap the checkmark in the top right. This will save the bio.

Using a Computer

Go to https://www.instagram.com/ on a browser on your computer. Use any browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.

Click Continue as… to continue under the displayed account. If you wish to log in with a different account, click Switch accounts and sign in.

Click on your profile picture. This is in the top right corner of the screen.

Click Edit Profile. This is near the top.

Delete the existing bio. Select the text in the "Bio" section and hit Delete.

Type in a new bio. Enter up to 150 characters.

Click Submit. This is a blue button at the bottom of the screen.
