Using Free Shipping By Amazon
Navigate to Amazon.com or Smile.Amazon.com if you want a portion of the proceeds from your purchase to go to charity.
Type your product search terms in the top search bar. Click “Enter” or the magnifying glass icon.
Go to the left hand column in your search results. Look for the heading that says “Free Shipping.”
Click the link that says “Free Shipping by Amazon.” Once you click this link, only items that will be eligible for free shipping (with a $35 purchase) will appear.
Add the items you want to your cart. Repeat the process with new items you want to buy. Accumulate $35 in purchases.
Go to checkout when you are ready. Sign into your account to use previously saved addresses and payment methods.
Select a single address in your country. With the $35 minimum, you would need to select an address in the United States.
Click the radio button to group the items into as few shipments as possible. Other options will require paid shipping.
Click the button to choose the Free Shipping option. Complete your purchase.
Using the Amazon Prime Free Trial
Ensure that you have never activated a free trial of Amazon Prime on your account in the past. This service is only available to first-time users. During the trial period of several weeks to a month, you can receive free two-day shipping on products that are fulfilled by Amazon, in addition to other services and features.
Repeat the steps above to locate products that are fulfilled by Amazon. These “Free Shipping by Amazon” products are also eligible for 2-day shipping with an Amazon account. Unlike the method above, you don’t need to reach a certain threshold of spending to use this free shipping trial.
Click the button that says, “Add to Cart with FREE Two-day Shipping.”
Proceed to checkout. Click “Start my Free Trial.” Sign up with Amazon Prime. You will need to enter your credit card details or use one of your saved payment methods.
Select “Free Two-Day Shipping” before you complete your purchase. Submit your order.
Return to your account before the end of your trial to cancel the trial. If you do not return, you will be charged $99 for a year membership to Amazon Prime at the end of your trial period.
Finding Merchants with Free Shipping
Go to Amazon.com. Search for the product you want. Click on the desired product when you’ve found it.
Find the link at the bottom of the product description that says “5 new from $35.99” or something similar. You can also find this link at the bottom of the “Other Sellers on Amazon” section in the right hand column.
View the list of sellers and find one, either Amazon or a third-party seller, that offers free shipping. This chart compares prices and shipping for you.
Add the product with free shipping to your cart. Complete your purchase with this seller. You will not be required to have a minimum purchase; however, other products that you choose to add to your cart will not be eligible for free shipping by a third-party seller.
