Using the Unlock Page
Uninstall third-party Snapchat apps or plug-ins. If you are using an unauthorized third-party app or plug-in to access Snapchat, you will need to completely uninstall the app or plug in from your iPhone or Android before trying to sign back in. In some cases, unauthorized apps that require a jailbroken iPhone or iPad cannot be completely uninstalled. If that is the case for you, you will need to Update to the latest version of iOS to uninstall the app.
Go to https://accounts.snapchat.com/accounts/unlock in a web browser. If your account was temporarily locked, you can use this website on any computer, phone, or tablet to unlock it after several hours. For more serious offences, you may have to wait up to 24 hours to unlock your account.
Log in to your Snapchat account. Enter the same username and password you use to access Snapchat in the app, and then click or tap Log in.
Click or tap Unlock. It's the yellow button at the bottom of the page. If the amount of time that passed is sufficient, you will see a message that confirms your account is now unlocked. If it hasn't been enough time, try again in a few hours.
Verify your email address with Snapchat. Once you're logged back in, it's a good idea to verify your email address with Snapchat to avoid being deactivated for adding too many friends. Here's how: Open the Snapchat app on your phone or tablet. It's a yellow-and-white ghost icon. Tap the profile icon at the top-left corner. Tap the gear icon at the top-right corner. Tap Email. Enter a valid email address and tap Save. Enter your Snapchat password and tap Continue. Check your email and open the verification email. Tap Confirm email.
Contacting Snapchat
Go to https://help.snapchat.com/hc/en-us/requests/new in a web browser. If you are unable to get back into your account after 24 hours by using the "Using the Unlock Page" method, you may still be able to contact Snapchat to get your account unlocked.
Click or tap the circle next to "My account login." It's the first option below "What can we help you with?"
Click or tap the circle next to "I think my account was hacked." It's one of the options below "Oh no! Tell us more."
Click or tap Yes. It's next to "Need help with something else?" at the bottom of the page. This displays a form you can use to send Snapchat an email.
Enter your username, email, and phone number into the provided blanks.
Type a polite email message requesting reinstatement. Use the space provided to politely explain the situation. Express why your account was locked and assure Snapchat that you will follow the terms of service from now on. Be as polite as possible.
Click or tap Send. It's the yellow button at the bottom of the screen. If your email explanation is polite and understanding, you may be able to convince Snapchat to unlock your account. If your email is rude, or you are a repeat offender, you are not likely to get your account unlocked.
