Why The Danchave Menatha Kuthura Song Was Deleted From Bhagavanth Kesari
Bhagavanth Kesari is said to be made on a budget ranging between Rs 90 crores and 100 crore.

Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna’s highly anticipated film, Bhagavanth Kesari, has made its debut in theatres today. This marks his second release of the year, following the success of his earlier 2023 offering, Veera Simha Reddy, which delighted audiences during the Sankranti festival. Since the unveiling of the movie’s trailer, it has generated a positive response and heightened anticipation among audiences. However, an intriguing update regarding the film is now grabbing everyone’s attention.

Initially, it was reported that director Anil Ravipudi had decided to include a remixed version of Balakrishna’s evergreen chartbuster, Danchave Menatha Kuthura, from the blockbuster film Mangammagari Manavadu, in Bhagavanth Kesari. The modern rendition was to be crafted by contemporary composer Thaman. It was slated for incorporation into the film four to five days after its release on October 19. However, the latest information reveals that director Anil Ravipudi has had a change of heart and decided to completely remove the song from the movie.

This decision comes after feedback from Balakrishna’s family members and close friends of Anil Ravipudi, who had the opportunity to view the movie in a special screening. They expressed concerns that the song appeared somewhat exaggerated and disrupted the pacing of the film. In response to this feedback, the director opted to remove the song entirely.

Reports also indicate that a significant sum, approximately Rs 3.5 crore, had been invested in the creation of this song. Despite this change, early reports from private screenings have been overwhelmingly positive, with praise for Balakrishna’s performance and Anil Ravipudi’s directorial efforts.

Bhagavanth Kesari is an action comedy-drama directed by Anil Ravipudi and jointly produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi under the banner of Shine Screens. Alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna, the film features Kajal Aggarwal, Sreeleela, and Arjun Rampal, who are making their debut in Telugu cinema, in pivotal roles. The film’s soundtrack and background score have been composed by Thaman S.

In a departure from his usual roles, Nandamuri Balakrishna is portraying a character closer to his real age in Bhagavanth Kesari. The film has an expected runtime of 155 minutes and was reportedly made with a budget ranging between Rs 90 crore and 100 crore. Early reports suggest that Bhagavanth Kesari has already grossed Rs 67.35 crore worldwide, and it is poised to achieve the break-even target of Rs 68.50 crore soon.
