3 held for distributing cash

BIRMAHARAJPUR (SONEPUR): Three persons, including husband of a sarpanch candidate, were arrested from Bagbar village by Birmaharajpur police on Friday night while they were allegedly trying to lure voters with cash. Cash ` 34,590 was seized from them.The election for the post of sarpanch of Bagbar GP is scheduled for Sunday with one Sashmita Purohit in fray. Late on Friday night, her husband Radhakanta Panda along with Prabhat Kumar Panda and Jadumani Sandha were distributing cash when the police arrested them. While ` 24,590 was recovered from Radhakanta, ` 10,000 was seized from the other two.
