THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: While the anti-corruption crusade by Anna Hazare and team is yet to end on a positive note, a couple of Non-Resident Indians, who took out a peaceful march in solidarity with the Jan Lokpal Bill, are languishing in a Dubai jail. Rajesh Daryani, who hails from Maharashtra and residing in Sharjah, and four others hailing from various Indian states, were arrested by the police for conducting a mass silent walk at Al Mamzar Park in Dubai on Saturday supporting Hazare’s fast.  While Daryani was arrested from the venue of the event, the others were taken into custody later.  The case charged is for taking out the march without prior permission of the authorities.  The arrest of Daryani and friends has shocked the Indian community in Dubai. Their friends and well-wishers are apprehensive of the delay in the proceedings though three days have passed since the arrest.   Though it was informed that they would be presented before the Dubai Public Prosecution on Wednesday, it didn’t happen.
