New Delhi: The chief interlocutor for Jammu and Kashmir, Dilip Padgaonkar has revealed that when the three-member team went to meet terrorists in jail, the inmates reached out to them and in fact offered a peace plan for Kashmir. Padgaonkar and the other two interlocutors were speaking exclusively to Karan Thapar on CNN-IBN's show ‘Devil's Advocate’.

Padgaonkar said, “First time we met the guys from terrorist organisations, they said to us would you mind coming to us once again, we need to talk to you. So we went second time and the second time at the end of about an hour-and-a-half, something quite surprising took place. One of those guys who acted as spokesperson for one of these organistaions said to us that they would like to submit to us also - a peace plan."

A peace plan from the terrorists shows a big step forward to stop the crisis in the Valley.

Padgaonkar also said that the people of Kashmir and even the terrorists want their voices to be heard and believed they had a road-map ahead of them to solve the crisis.

“So we said we've come to listen to you, we are quite prepared - as and when you prepare your point of view, let us know and we'll examine that as well,” added Padgaonkar.

Dilip Padgaonkar felt this was a indeed a very significant step forward since after that incident the idea came to the interlocutors that to solve the Kashmir crisis it is an essential step to talk to the people of Kashmir and find out their problems.
