CHENNAI: All of us, at one point of time, have gone through a tough break up, but not all of us have learnt to laugh about our experiences. To provide you with such an opportunity, ASAP Productions will stage Break Up Blues, on Sunday, September 18, at Museum Theatre, Egmore. The evening will see three short plays, which will be connected with each other, by the two narrators, who will also pose as relationship experts, played by Venkatesh Harinathan and Rajiv Rajaram. The first play, Loyalty, starring Amit Singh, Deepika Pethe and Ashwin Bala, (also the director) is about a married couple with commitment issues, on the verge of a split. Confession, the second act, about an ever-fighting gay couple, will be directed by Amit Singh, who will also act in it, along with Naveen George Thomas and Laskhmi Nair. Also, directed by Amit Singh is Interrogation, that features a couple, who meet after a gap of eight months. This third play will also star Lakshmi Nair. “This is something that younger people will relate to, and we also wanted to bring out the funny side of break up,” says Amit Singh.
