Agra: Woman kills two minor daughters, commits suicide

A 26-year-old woman allegedly murdered her two daughters before setting herself ablaze in Bilaipur village in Agra. Sudama Devi set her two daughters Nisha (4) and Karishma (2) on fire and thereafter killed herself on Wednesday night, police said.

According to the complaint by the woman's family, her husband Devendra murdered her for dowry. Devendra, however, said Sudama took the extreme step as her brother did not come to take her to his residence for Raksha Bandhan. A case has been registered and the matter is being probed, police said.
