Amritsar: A 21-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped in Amritsar by four men after being forcibly picked up from a bus stop at about 8 pm on Monday evening. The police say she was taken into the vehicle by two men and two others joined in later.
The girl was found a few kilometres away on the road side late on Monday night. A complaint has been filed against the four unknown persons.
The girl alleged that she was repeatedly raped by the four accused for at least 45 minutes and later thrown out of the vehicle, police said, adding the accused are absconding. The girl is currently undergoing treatment at the civil hospital.
ADCP Crime Harjit Singh Brar said call details of the girl's phone show that she received a lot of calls from some particular numbers before and after the incident. Police suspect that the kidnappers were already known to the victim.
