AN-32 Mystery Deepens After Airman's Phone App Shows Him Active After Plane Went Missing
The whatsapp chat of the missing airman Raghubir Verma procured from his family shows that his last seen status is July 26 at 7:56am

Almost 8 days after the Indian Airforce AN-32 went missing during its flight from Tambaram in Tamil Nadu to Port Blair, a whatsapp chat of a missing airman who was onboard the flight has surfaced which has further deepened the mystery surrounding the aircraft.

The app used for chat by the missing airman Raghubir Verma procured from his family shows that his last seen status is July 26 at 7:56am, almost four days after the plane went missing on July 22.

Although no credible input has been received about the whereabouts of the missing flight, defence minister Manohar Parrikar told Rajya Sabha on Friday that the government has sought help from the United States to step up search operations.

Parrikar added that since no SOS or transmission of any frequency was received, the government sought the help of the American defence forces to "ascertain whether their satellites picked up any signal."

Parrikar also told that the worrying part about the entire incident is that there was not even a single signal recorded from the moment the flight disappeared.
