HYDERABAD: A degree student of Acharya NG Ranga University (ANGRAU) ended her life in the college hostel late Sunday night.V Anitha (23), was a native of Mahabubabad in Warangal district and was pursuing her final year in Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences (BVS) at the University.She was staying in Room no 212 in Vasantha Nilayam hostel in the campus.According to police and hostel inmates, Anitha was normal till afternoon and she even spent some time with her friends in the hostel. Rajendranagar police sub-inspector B Kotaiah said Anitha did not come out of her room at night for dinner in the hostel mess. When one of her friends, Manasa, went to call her for dinner around 10 p.m., she did not get any response from Anitha despite repeatedly calling and knocking on her door. Manasa then informed the matter to the security guards at the hostel.They broke open the ventilator of the room only to see Anitha hanging from the ceiling fan.They later broke open the doors and informed the police.“No suicide note was found in the room.We are yet to ascertain the reason for the suicide,” Kotaiah said.
