Chittoor: The gunbattle between police and members of the banned terror group Al-Ummah has ended at Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh. Two gunmen have been arrested while the third is injured and in custody too.
Police said that three members of the group were holed up inside a house and were firing at them. One policeman has been injured in the firing.
It was a joint operation by the Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh police. Specialised forces from Tirupathi had also been rushed to the spot.
