Arumugams son caused loss to Government

CHENNAI: Minister for Commercial Taxes and Registration Agri S S Krishnamoorthy on Monday said the government exchequer had incurred losses due to the irregularities committed by A Rajendran, son of former DMK Minister Veerapandi S Arumugam, while purchasing properties.  He said while registering a property purchased from one Thangavelu in Sooramangalam Sub-Registrar’s office, the son of ex-minister had shown very a low value for the property  to reduce the registration fee.  Efforts are on to retrieve the amount, he added.
