Biennial meeting of KLCA held

KOCHI: Latin Catholic community has the willpower to protest against the move to avoid them from various levels of administration, said Archbishop of Verapoly Francis Kallarakkal.He was delivering the inaugural address at the Biennial meeting of the Kerala Latin Catholic Association (KLCA).Excise Minister K Babu delivered a commemorative speech on Archbishop Daniel Acharuparambil. He said that Latin Catholic Community should lead the initiative in anti-liquor drive.MLAs Dominic Presentation, Hibi Eden, Ludy Louis and Msgr Alex Vadakumthala, Vicar General of Archdiocese of Verapoly attended the function. Shaji George has been elected the new state president while J Sahayadas has been elected the secretary. Robert Martin Vijayapuram is the treasurer.Selin Nelson, Justin Karipatu, James Thiyadi, Nelson Kocheri, B P Stanlin were elected vice presidents. Carmeli Stephen, Ratheesh Antony, K C Thankaraj, K M Varghese, George Nanat, Joseph Plato, Beena Sebastian were elected secretaries.
