BJP booklet greatly exaggerated: JD(S)

BANGALORE: JD(S) General Secretary Y S V Datta disputed Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa's claim about his government's stellar performance based on the statistics released in a booklet recently.
"The figures released by the CM does not reflect the ground reality. I have been making enquiries in Kadur on the number of beneficiaries under various schemes like Bhagyalakshmi, widow pension, oldage and physicallychallenged pension. But I do not find the ground reality any where near to the statistics provided in the booklet," Datta told Express here on Saturday. According to him, similar views have been expressed by most of the JD(S) MLAs who do not find such a large number of beneficiaries in their respective taluks or constituencies that make up for the performance.
