New Delhi: It seems the word-of-mouth publicity has started working in favour of director Abhishek Chaubey's 'Dedh Ishqiya'. The film got a slow start on Friday, January 10, when it collected close to Rs 3.50 cr. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#DedhIshqiya has had a slow start, but carries strong word of mouth. Should pick up towards evening shows."
On the other hand, Divya Khosla Kumar's 'Yaariyan' is doing exceedingly well at the ticket window. Adarsh says, "#Yaariyan fetches flying start. Friday: ₹ 6.30 cr nett. Excellent!"
He also says, "#Yaariyan has had an impressive weekend. Hit music, youth power and terrific promotion has done the trick!"
He tweets about 'Dedh Ishqiya' as well, "#DedhIshqiya witnessed escalation over the weekend. Biz grew with each passing day."
