New Delhi: A school student in Siliguri in West Bengal allegedly kissing a girl of his class sparked off trouble.
A mob of guardians and locals gheraoed the headmaster of the school and broke furniture in is chamber.
Mohammad Hanif, a class XI student, kissed Mithu Saha in retaliation for the slap he received from the girl after he pulled her spectacles on March 20, according to a first information report filed two days later at Phansidewa police station.
Guardians and local residents went over to the headmaster's office and demanded the boy's immediate transfer on Wednesday.
However, the headmaster said he was unable to take the decision without consulting the school's governing body and until after the examination was over.
The agitators ransacked the headmaster's room and left the place only after the police were called in.
