Hyderabad: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday filed a 1000-page chargesheet in a special court in Hyderabad in connection with the Emaar land scam.

The investigating agency named Sunil Reddy, Koneru Prasad and B P Acharya in its chargesheet.

They have been charged under several sections of PC Act, including criminal conspiracy, cheating, breach of trust and criminal misconduct.

Acharya, the Principal Secretary (Homes) of Andhra Pradesh, was arrested by the CBI on Monday in connection with the scam.

Acharya was the third person to be arrested in the Emaar land scam. Prasad and Reddy, two businessmen, were earlier arrested in the case. All the three are considered close to YSR's son Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The allegations are that during YS Rajashekhar Reddy's tenure, the Andhra government gave land to Emaar at nominal rate and in return government functionaries, film stars got bungalows from Emaar at very cheap rates.

The deal was signed between the Andhra Pradesh government and Emaar in 2002 during the chief ministership of Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu. The deal was implemented largely during YSR's regime.
