WARANGAL: A navy rescue team from Visakhapatnam that has been pressed into service on Sunday to fish out bodies of the three workers from Devadula tunnel, which got flooded near Vasantapur village in Sayampet mandal, expressed its inability in recovering the bodies. The trio, all welding assistants, died after the tunnel, which is under construction, got flooded on Friday night.Warangal district collector Rahul Bojja said that they were consulting the central government for help from the national disaster management. “We are discussing the issue with the officials of the government and human resource ministry,” he said.Experts have an opinion that bodies cannot be recovered now. Above the tunnel, there is Chalivagu project reservoir with 19-feet deep water in it. Water from the reservoir should be emptied and only then can water from the tunnel be removed, experts said. On Sunday evening, a six-member team led by commandant Rakesh, from Vizag, reached Vasantapur. Around 4 p.m, two member of the team dived into the water. After more than two hours, they came out and said the tunnel was filled with water and finding the bodies was difficult.
