CIAL pays Rs 14.8 crore dividend to Government

NEDUMBASSERY: Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) Director K Babu (Minister for Excise and Ports) on Friday handed over to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy a cheque of Rs 14.80 crore as the dividend of the CIAL to the State Government for the year 2011.The total revenue of the CIAL for the fiscal 2010-11 was `246 crore and the profit after tax was Rs 90 crore. The company in its Annual General Meeting had approved the proposal of the Board of Directors to pay 15 per cent of the dividend to its share holders.Ministers P K Kunhalikutty, Aryadan Mohammed and Abdu Rabb and CIAL Secretary R Venkiteswaran were present at the function when the cheque was handed over to the Chief Minister in Thiruvananthapuram.
