Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the 'Atal Jyoti' campaign here today, aimed at providing 24X7 power supply in rural areas even as the opposition Congress boycotted the programme.
Launching the campaign, the chief minister said that under the scheme, electricity is being supplied for domestic use 24X7 and 10 hours a day for agriculture purpose. He said that his government has transformed the power and road situation in the state. However, the Congress, led by its state secretary, Kalavati Bhuria and other party leaders waved black flags at the Chief Minister and also boycotted the programme.
