CHENNAI: The Corporation Council, in its year-end meeting, passed a resolution praising Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa for getting a resolution passed in the State Assembly over the Mullaiperiyar issue. The resolution also strongly condemned the Kerala government for its antagonistic approach to the row. “This Council appreciates the strong-willed gesture of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister in getting the resolution on Mullaiperiyar issue passed in the State Assembly in a special session,” read the special resolution, moved by Mayor Saidai S Duraisamy.
