Crying comes naturally to me says Balika Vadhu star
She has dethroned the saas and the bahus taking the top spot.

New Delhi Avika Gor is an unlikely star, to begin with she is only 10 years old and has no starry airs about her.

But going by the rave reviews she is getting for her performance in the superhit TV series, Balika Badhu the youngster has singlehandedly dethroned the saas and the bahus taking the top spot to become Indian television's new darling.

Despite her young age, Avika handles the attention with great ease and is ready with answers for each question asked of her.

A boisterous child,one wonders how does she handle all the tearjerker scenes she does for the soap. Avika claims that she does not even need glycerine to work her tear glands and the crying comes naturally to her.

" Crying comes naturally to me, I don't even need glycerine for my scenes. I cry thinking of Anandi and her troubles,it is not at all difficult for me." says Avika.

" I had done two serials previously and I have two films coming up, I plan to pursue acting as a career when I grow up," said the young star of her future plans.

And does her acting career take a toll on her studies, Avika replies in the negative.

" I shoot only after school so that way my studies are not affected by acting."

Instead of complaining about the attention she gets from her numerous fans, Avika is extremely happy basking in the glory of fame.

"People have started calling me Anandi now and they call out to me when I am out, by names from the show, 'Bindni', 'Nak Chaddhi'.

My friends at school are proud of me, they always tell me that I am doing a great job," Avika rattles off.

Like all children her age Avika enjoys cartoons but she is quick to point out that 'Balika..' is her favourite. " I watch cartoons when I am not working or studying , but 'Balika Badhu' is my favourite show."

When asked about other child actors who are giving her competition on the small screen Avika replies sweetly that she is considers them all her friends and watches the shows.

" I think of the other child stars as my friends not competitors, and I like all their works.I watch Uttaran and really like Sparsh's character."

Avika who plays the titular role in the series says that the entire star cast is supportive and make shooting an enjoyable experience.

And her favourite co-star is none other than Surekha Sikri who portrays the staunch mother-in-law who plays spoil sport to all of Anandi's young dreams.

" My favourite co star is Daadi Sa and I also really like Shubha didi, the whole cast is nice to me, I am the baby in the group." says Avika.
