THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The seven-member committee preparing the inventory of the treasure found inside the vaults of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple will meet here on Friday to decide on whether vault ‘B’ must be opened or not. Of the total six chambers, it is the only remaining vault to be opened. The meeting will also consider the directions put forward by the Supreme Court on Wednesday regarding videography of the treasure. It would require the chambers to be opened again, for which the presence of the committee members would be required. Much would depend on the Supreme Court directives on Friday. It would also take up the petition by Uthradom Thirunal Marthanda Varma challenging the High Court order of January 31, asking the state govt to take over the temple management and assets.A report submitted by the DGP to the Cabinet on Wednesday suggests declaration of half-a-km radius around the temple as a high-security zone.
