NEW DELHI: Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has moved the Supreme Court averring that though the apex court had fixed October 20 as the date for hearing her wealth cases by a Special Court in Bangalore, she is yet to receive an intimation on that.Contending that she needs advance intimation so that the NSG commandoes protecting her can inspect the place of hearing in advance, she sought the next date of hearing to be fixed on any day in the last week of November. When the matter was posted for urgent hearing, a Bench comprising Justice Dalveer Bhandari and Justice Dipak Misra posted it for hearing on Wednesday.Jayalalithaa averred that she has not been made aware of any security arrangements that may have been made as per the orders of the Supreme Court on September 12 this year. She recalled that Al Mun Thameem Force had warned that it had not forgotten or forgiven the person who had ruled TN on August 29, 2002, the day on which Imam Ali and his accomplices were killed in an encounter in Banglore with the TN police. Moreover, another outfit by name Kannada Chaluwali also announced a rally in Bangalore on October 20 to protest the drinking water project in Hogenakkal. She said that the city police force would be stretched on October 20 as the inauguration of Bangalore Metro Rail is on the same day. With all these averments, she sought a hearing in the last week of November.
